Lapacho production steps

Our bark teas are all produced by the same production method:

Having removed the bark from the trunk, the outer bark is separated from the valuable inner bark. Afterwards the inner bark is stored for drying in a dark and dry room.

First chemical controls have to be passed. After that the bark is cleaned from remaining leaves, dust and soil in a kind of wind channel. The air-dried bark pieces may now be cut according to individual customer requirements. Finally, any remaining dust and rests of powder from the cutting are removed in a vibrating riddle.

Before being packed into special jute-sacks and given a batch number, a final chemical analysis has to be passed. Then the bark is ready for shipment.
